Just got back from Urban Assassneria in Bari and had to share — the spaghetti all’assassina is absolutely worth the hype! We watched Stanley Tucci eat it here and decided to try it ourselves. It did not disappoint.
They cook the spaghetti right in the pan on the stove — no boiling water — so you get this perfect crispy, caramelized texture with a rich, spicy tomato sauce. Ours was about a 6/10 on heat (I could’ve taken it hotter), and we added a side of fresh stracciatella which melted beautifully into it. The combo was ridiculous.
Super casual spot, but the pasta is legit one of the best things we’ve eaten in Italy. If you’re in Bari, don’t miss it
